Polymarket vs Limitless: Depth Versus Speed

By Editorial Team · Updated November 1, 2026 · How we research this

Winner: Polymarket Polymarket wins on depth and price discovery by a wide margin; Limitless wins only if your edge is in short-dated crypto and macro markets where speed of settlement matters more than order size.
Attribute Polymarket ✓ Limitless
Best for Large positions on political and macro events Short-horizon crypto and macro trades
Fees Taker fee on most categories, none to provide liquidity Market-level spread; varies per contract
Liquidity Deepest in the category Thin — large orders move the price
Settlement USDC on Polygon, instant at resolution USDC on Base, instant at resolution
Licensing Offshore crypto-native; separate US entity No fiat licence
Learning curve Steep — built for traders Lighter, fewer market types

The short version

If you are putting meaningful size on a well-known event, go where the book is deep. That is Polymarket, and it is not close. A five-figure order clears on a major political market without moving the mid-price; on Limitless the same order would walk the book several cents.

If your edge is in short-dated contracts — hourly or daily crypto moves — Limitless is the better fit. Shorter settlement cycles and lighter markets mean less competition from professional makers, which cuts both ways: less slippage on small size, more on large.

Where the comparison actually turns

Depth is not a nice-to-have, it is the whole game. Every cent of slippage comes directly out of expected value. A trader with a genuine 3-cent edge who pays 4 cents to enter has no edge. This is why liquidity carries 20% of the weight in our scoring and why the gap between these two is decisive for anyone trading above a few hundred dollars.

Where Limitless wins

  • Faster market creation, so you can trade events Polymarket has not listed.
  • Lower competition on niche contracts, which occasionally leaves visible mispricing.
  • Simpler interface — fewer clicks between seeing a market and taking a position.

Where it loses

  • Order books are thin enough that a $2,000 order can move the price several points.
  • Fewer markets, so less ability to hedge a position across related contracts.
  • No fiat licence either — the safety-net question is the same on both sides.

Our call

For most readers, most of the time: Polymarket. The depth advantage compounds every time you trade, and the venue’s broader market coverage means you can act on more of your views.

Limitless is a specialist tool. Worth an account if you specifically trade short-dated crypto, not worth it as your only venue.
