Independent research Prediction markets and sportsbooks, scored on evidence — not on who pays us.
We publish the rubric, cite the fee schedule, and name what we could not verify.
Every ranking links to the review behind it, so you can check our work instead of trusting it.
What makes us different Real events, checkable results, no hidden strings
We only cover venues where the outcome is a real, verifiable event — a match result, an
election, a settled market — never casino-style games built on pure chance. Three things
make us different from the rest of the "best betting sites" blogs.
1 · A "verifiability" score no one else publishes
Every platform and market is rated on whether its result can be independently checked
against an authoritative source — official stats, court records, a named regulator.
It is a column you will not find on the big comparison sites.
2 · We teach you how to verify, not just where to click
Most sites tell you which platform is "best". We also show you how to check for
yourself whether a market is real, how its settlement is decided, and whether a
licence is genuine rather than a logo pasted on a footer.
3 · Disclosure that actually discloses
Every page states whether it carries affiliate links. Rankings follow a published
rubric and cannot be bought. We even list the partnerships we turned down.
Read the full disclosure.

Understand the mechanics first
Most losses in this category come from not knowing how settlement, fees or liquidity work.
These are the pages to read before you deposit anything.
economics A prediction market settles when the event resolves against a written rule, at which point winning contracts pay $1 and losing ones pay $0. Settlement is governed by that rule's wording, not by what most people assume the event meant. Disputed or ambiguous outcomes are resolved by the venue's designated resolution process, which can delay payout.
basics A prediction market is an order book where people trade contracts that settle at $1 or $0 depending on a real event. You buy from or sell to another user, not the house. The price at which a contract trades is the market's implied probability, and you can sell your position at any time before the event resolves.
comparison In a prediction market there is no house; you trade contracts against other users, prices move on an order book, and you can sell early. In a sportsbook, the operator sets the odds and takes the other side of your bet, with the margin built into the odds. Prediction markets charge explicit fees and spreads; sportsbooks hide their margin in the odds.
basics An event contract is an agreement that pays a fixed $1 if a specified real-world event happens by a stated date and $0 if it does not. It is a binary, all-or-nothing instrument whose price between $0 and $1 reads as the market's probability of that event.
